\n\n \n\nSamantha Fischer/SDF Photography proudly announces her inaugural
solo show\, “Not To Be Missed . . .”\, taking place at the Lambertville
Free Public Library. The opening night reception is on January 29\, from
6:00 to 8:30 PM\, and will provide an opportunity to meet the artist and
discuss her work one on one. Featured in her first-ever career solo
exhibition will be more than twenty works of photography on metal and
numerous prints\, encompassing iconic images\, fan favorites and new work\,
premiering at this exhibition. All work will be available for purchase on
site (special opening night pricing will be on offer).\n\n \n\nFischer
explains that “Not To Be Missed . . .” reflects on how being in
nature\, observing birds and other wildlife\, has become a great passion
for the photographer. She states that\, “With today’s stressful climate
of screens\, noise\, and news\, birding is an elixir which instantly
compels me to focus on the moment. A flash of bright color against the
green leaves or blue sky piques my interest and curiosity\, and if I get to
capture the bird in my camera\, I consider myself extremely lucky. I hope
my images allow the viewer into that ephemeral moment that nature has
allowed me to capture. I also hope my images evoke empathy towards the
wildlife which surrounds us. Their behavior\, resourcefulness\,
resilience\, and especially their profound beauty\, certainly put them in
the category of not to be missed.”\n\n \n\nSamantha Fischer is a Brooklyn
born and raised\, twenty-eight year teacher in the NYC Board of Education\,
turned wildlife and landscape photographer. She has been featured twice in
the prestigious photography journal\, F-Stop Magazine (here and here)\,
featured in Occhi Magazine (here)\, and has had her work featured in juried
exhibits\, including the 2024 Phillips Mill Juried Art Show\, “Artful
Sundays” at the Hunterdon Art Museum\, the 2025 New Hope Arts & Crafts
Festival\, and various Brooklyn Popup Arts Festivals\, among many
others.\n\n \n\nFischer began seriously photographing birds during the
pandemic\, while viewing the famous Barred Owl of Central Park\,
“Barry\,” along with a gaggle of other photographers and onlookers.
Fischer has since photographed over 400 different species of birds in all
their glory\, amassing over tens of thousands of images across the United
States and abroad. Fischer has an ulterior motive with her bird
photography\; she aims to document our fine feathered friends in an
artistic fashion\, in order to foster a greater awareness and appreciation
for birds in her audience\, and to nurture a greater appreciation and love
for nature in general.\n\n \n\nFischer chose Lambertville\, NJ to stage her
first solo exhibition as the town is near and dear to her heart. The
photographer has been traveling to Hunterdon and Bucks Counties\, with her
husband\, for over twenty-five years (they were engaged on the
Lambertville-New Hope Bridge on New Year’s Day in 1999). Fischer
elaborated\, “This part of the world is my home away from home\, I have
made many lasting friendships here\, and have captured many images in
Hunterdon and Bucks Counties. The area has been endlessly inspiring to me\,
so it truly is a huge honor to have my first solo exhibition at the
 Lambertville Free Public Library.”\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nPlease Visit:
